You Learn Something New Every Day

Early on this year I decided to become active on poker forums for the very first time in a more serious capacity. It was a real trial and error experience with regards what I was going to encounter. To be quite honest I was rather saddened by some of the behaviour and abusive language dished out to what can only be deemed decent people. One very popular forum member actually left while I was there simply because of a few idiots which I find very sad.

Although the cynical side of my nature finds it hardly surprising that human beings find it necessary to criticise and attempt to belittle people just for having certain views or daring to stand out.

Maybe it is me but I believe that forums should be conducted in a certain way and should set certain standards. I placed my new e-book onto the Hendon Mob forum with the full permission of the site moderators and the owners. Of course you expect to get shot at when you do something like this and of course you expect questions and cynical comments.

But over the top character assassination and personal comments have no place on forums or at least they don’t in my opinion. When Chipleaders gets off the ground and starts to attract big numbers then much of what I have encountered will simply not be allowed to happen….and that can only be a good thing.
