You cannot be serious

Do I sound like John Mcenroe??? What is it with some poker players, they read a few books and get to know a bit about the game and then think that they have the right to go around slating anyone who makes a bad play. Firstly they are idiots for educating people anyway. But I would just like to waste an entire post by having a rant at an idiot who was on my table the other day……in fact not just him…..everyone like him.

I was attempting and have been attempting to spin up €1 into €1000 by playing five man SNG’s on Pokerheaven. If I win then I move up to the next level and if I cash then I stay at the same level unless I cash often enough to move up by doing that. I had built it up to playing in a €5 euro buy in game and was getting pretty bored. There was a player who had been laying into a player on our table who had been playing badly and I hate this behaviour.

Suddenly I am really fed up and make an all in move after the idiot raises and he calls and shows me a premium pair. He takes the pot and then calls me an idiot in the chat box. I had him covered in chips so was still left in the game and as a rule, I just ignore this type of thing. But I then decided that I was going to put him in his place.

Do people not realise that this is five ******* euros we are talking about. I have given more than that to street vagrants when I have been in the right mood. That would not even get me a packet of cigarettes if I was a smoker and would just about buy me a pint. Difficult as it may seem to some people but there is more to life than sitting around trying to grind $2 an hour. I play games with $50k on the table although not recently and to me, this kind of money just cannot grab my attention. If people like them need the €5 so badly then I pity them because if they do need it badly then what the hell are they doing playing poker.

Poker isnt just about money its also about entertainment……so to all you idiots who act like this at the table….GROW UP……learn that there are thousands of players out there who are better than you will ever live to be, show strength of character and decorum that you will never have and who dont gamble money that they and their family needs and who also have a life.
