Believe it or not

No poker to report of any note which just goes to show you how much I was playing in bad games last year. In fact I hadnt heard from my partner in a few days so I called him to ask if anything was up. He is a full-time player who is also monitoring the NL5000 games for me.

I may start to ask him to monitor the 10-20 games so that I can get some decent action against lesser players. But I am revealing my weaknesses here as I am getting impatient to get involved in something. Been multi-tabling the NL50’s again and not keeping my discipline too well.

Am $160 up on the month but it should have been around 5 times that to be honest……bad play!!!!!!!

We have a deal that these are the only games that I can get involved in unless we both agree. I dont want to be flitting around from poker form to poker form as this will disturb my mindset. Its brilliant when I do play as I am going into each session knowing who my targets are and exactly how I should play before I even sit down. It doesnt half make poker a damn site easier I can tell you. It also shows how important game selection is as well.

I am itching to try and spin some money up which is my favourite poker pastime but my word is my word so I have to keep it. Its a real shame as well because I had just started doing really well in the heads up NLHE games and was 11k ahead towards the end of last year at this form of poker.

Had a good bet come in last night, laid Gary Anderson for the BDO and he was beaten 5-3 b Tony O’Shea. There was something not right about that kid and he didnt appear to be right mentally to me and I was sure that better opponents and the added pressure of later rounds would have an effect and I was right as he was very poor.

I am having to give myself pep talks by saying how not playing poker is the professional thing to do…..it is right of course but old habits die hard but losers die quick so no complaints.
