The Stakes Have Been Raised

Yeah thats right, the original £1000 bet that I had with a friend on whether or not I could pull off the $100k challenge has just been raised. Not by him but by me accepting two further bets from two other mates.

One for £500 and another for £250. So the total bet is now £1750 ($3500) and I have absolutely no idea if this is foolish or not. I am hoping that it will keep me motivated so that I will not lose discipline but they all know how under capitalised I will be and think that its money in the bank.

They also say that a leopard never changes its spots and they are also aware of my discipline problems in the past whenever I have played for stakes that have meant little to me. Only a short while ago, I tilted $2000 off in about an hour on Full Tilt Poker just messing about, not strictly tilt but as bad as.

So whats the deal, well here it is.

START DATE:         1ST OCTOBER 2007

END DATE:             1ST OCTOBER 2008 or reaching $101,000 or busting out whichever is sooner.

BANKROLL:            $1000

TARGET:                  $101,000

LEVELS:                   Starting off at $0.50-$1 NL playing several tables, if bankroll reaches $2000 then will play $1-$2 NL, if reaches $4000 then will play $2-$4 etc. I will stop at $10-$20 if bankroll reaches $20,000 and continue at that level.

PLAYING TIME:     20 hours a week maximum being fitted around my other committments

Well there it is, and with only three days to go until the start date, my confidence is low but I will give it one hell of a bash.
