The one that got away

Well, I was on the verge of reporting my best ever win in the 100K Challenge, during my last session I was over six hundred dollars ahead and looking good. But it all went pear shaped during the final two hours and I ended up LOSING $34.

The bankroll now stands at $1968! I had three particularly vicious outdraws and two more where I had set under set which crippled me. Was active in the 25-50 for the first time in a while and took a down a nice little score to which I added a nice little session in 10-20 to that as well.

Have not played the PLO for a while but I have been getting a thirst for playing limit again which anyone who knows me knows that this used to be my passion years ago and is the subject of my long awaited book. It amazes me how people say that limit hold’em is dead online because so many people know how to play it and the average pot sizes are dropping.

They might be and players are getting better but I find limit games easier to beat now than no limit (if you can handle the variance that is….. which is caused by the outdraws). So all in all it has been a good week and I am enjoying my poker more than I ever have.

A combination of being in a better frame of mind, playing less hours and playing more forms. Someone once said that variety is the spice of life….I think I agree.

have a nice weekend
