Christmas but no break
Have been keeping a close eye on the £1000 main event at the DTD since Thursday. This was the event that I was down to play in for a while but personal matters intervened. Played two more shortish sessions in the 25-50 since my last post. Lost $850 and $1400 so what a great start….three sessions and its played three lost three for a combined result of - $3950. Still, that is still less than a single buy-in but I am keener now to make this work because of my backers and I am certainly playing more professionally thats for sure.
The problem with this level now is that there really are no middling levels between 25-50 and the high-stakes games so what happens is that this level is populated by players who are very strong who dont want to play higher up.
I may consider dropping down actually to 10-20 but I have been happy how I have played and like I said, its still less than a single buy-in and unlike before, only a tiny percentage of the bankroll is now mine.
I am also still preparing strongly for the $1000 per month challenge and the biggest challenge so far is in mixing NL100 with 25-50 games. I will be working through Christmas as usual which I dont mind as I just love working and playing poker. I have pushed through the stage that I was at earlier this year when I was thoroughly pissed off with it. I am enjoying it again and the only thing that I need are some decent results for a change.
