The 5K Barrier
Finally ended up having a great session in the 100k Challenge. I lost another $175 since my last report but had a humungous session where I felted four players in the space of about three hours and won over eight hundred dollars.
Add to that another winning session this afternoon and the bankroll now stands at $5021!! Right now I am feeling like I dont even care if I lose the money. My next session will be playing three tables at $2-$4 and lets just see how it goes. If I lose the money then I can pay up what I owe and then go and do something more productive.
But I now have just over 12 buy-ins for 2-4 although I will have to drop back to 1-2 should I have a bad run. I feel that I can still beat 2-4 playing nothing but boring solid poker so I do not need to press at this stage. I feel now that this challenge could be back on track and my goal now is to try and get to ten grand before I play 5-10.
I am going to have to be more game selective at that level and probably have to stop multi-tabling or maybe drop down a table….have to wait and see on that one. I finally think that the frustrating stages are behind me, I either press on or blow out in a blaze of glory. My only fear is that I go on a bad run at a higher level and then get so fed up that I dont switch back down again and just blow it.
But I am starting to finally warm to the challenge and it has taken me over two months to get to this stage but I am now starting to feel slightly confident……dangerous times.
see ya soon
