Pulling A Rabbit out of the Hat

Well it is easter and easter is a time for easter bunnies, well speaking of rabbits I certainly pulled one out of the hat last night in a private cash game. We were only playing £1 blinds but the game was one of the wildest games that I have ever played in. At one stage I was down a grand which for a game of that size is a lot. I am all ready for packing it in when I manage to get back a small debt of £250 that one of the players owes me. So from the brink of going home I am back in the game out of nowhere.

I get sucked into a big hand of Paduki with a draw to a five and with only one betting round to go, I am all in and holding a pair. So I draw one card, two players were standing pat so I know that I have to make a Paduki to win. I squeeze my final card and it was the deuce of clubs giving me a nearly unbeatable five low. I win a monster pot and not only does this get me back in the game but I broke even in one huge hand. The other players were non too happy with Dave for giving me the £250 at that particular moment in time but I needed a break and got one big time.

I ended the night over nine hundred ahead which from walking out of the door and only being about sixty seconds away from driving down the road is one hell of a feat and one to put a smile on my face over easter. I have been putting in some low stakes practice on Poker Heaven this week for my scheduled bankroll challenge although I dont know when that will happen.

Things have got a little hectic lately as I have my book to write before the 31st May, my e-book to promote and numerous magazine articles to get finished all with  various deadlines and non of them being all that far away either. But its all good fun so have a good easter and see you soon.
