Thats about it

I dont like to tempt fate but I think I have finalised the NL50 system for the Poker Pro Challenge. I won $17 earlier to make me $595 up for the month. I have played around 18 hours and won 13 out of my 14 sessions. Personally I think that I have already proven that this thing works. The amount of rake that I am generating now would mean that if someone did this for 40 hours a week then they would make c$1000 a month in rakeback alone on Cake Poker. This means that breaking even every single day would not be a bad result.

Breaking even would only allow a player to make around $1000 and it just seems incredible that this system could fail to do that. There is just hardly any variance. Most sessions see me swinging from +$30 to -$30, thats not even 1 buy-in either way. It seems incredible that a player could make this money without hardly any swings and so far 10 buy-ins would seem ample.

But I am going to reserve full judgement until after next month. Once again today I was unlucky, it seems that even when I run mediocre or slightly badly then I still win. I know that there will be a bad run sooner or later but I am almost twelve buy-ins ahead this month alone at NL50.

I learned how to link my two monitors this week so that I can drag tables across to my other monitor so that I can make one big screen. Not sure if I will utilise it as 8 tabling seems enough for me so far and I do have a 24″ inch monitor. But I am definitely going to try this system at other times of the day on Cake Poker to try to ascertain how much looser the games are at various times of the day.

If I make any alterations to the system now then they will only be minor ones. The first step is to play the finished system for a full month although I am already doing this now. The second and most urgent step is to educate someone who I know who is going to help me create a big sample size next month by also playing at different times of the day.

Hopefully this will all be done for the end of May and then phase 3 MIGHT see me playing this on a regular basis and then looking to take it into NL100. But going up a level will bring with it a differing game dynamic so that will be a step that will have to be taken very carefully. Then of course I will have to find a name for this system so that it has identity rather than me just referring to it as “system”.
