Rake in those Sklansky Bucks!
If only Sklansky dollars were spendable, I may just be a rich man by now. Just played some 5-10 heads up NLH and lost over $700 in two sessions. Just had AA all in versus AK for $270 and saw a flop of KK5 and then I had QQ versus 88 on a Q-7-6 flop and saw a five come on the turn and a nine on the river.
Also just played a short session on NL50 and NL20 games in preparation for the challenge and won $23…..not all bad news then
I may not always be able to get enough action at NL50 on Cake Poker during the early morning GMT so I may have to drop down and play some NL20 games as well. I may have to start the first month playing a combination of NL50 with NL20 games thrown in. Then if things go well I am going to kick back some of the profit and start playing NL100 games and take it from there.
I think that I more or less have the system in place and tilt is certainly becoming less of a factor as time goes on. What was getting to me was that I was trying to make something work that was not only very important to me but also to Cake Poker as well. I finally have a system of operation in place that should enable me to start playing properly next month on a professional basis at the low stakes games.
My total preparations so far have amassed a profit of $1233 which isnt bad considering all the messing about that I have done and the money that I have spewed testing stuff out……but hopefully most of that is behind me now and while I havent got everything figured out, I guess that I am never going to and need to start sooner rather than later.
In essence I am putting myself through my very own self imposed trader program, the only difference is that I have no one to answer to except my own conscience. Actually in a strange kind of way I am looking forward to this far more than I am the 25-50 sessions.
Daniel Negreanu is trying to do a challenge of his own and I think that he is trying to turn $10 into $100k in the space of 3 years. I am still undecided as to what to call mine. I will know better after next month. The Deans professional poker challenge has a good ring to it as many people wouldnt need to be earning that much money to enable them to be on an income that was superior to what they already had.
Anyway see ya soon and take care
