Like a NL50 Juggernaut
Played two more sessons since my last blog and won $76 last night and another $72 this afternoon. I am now a total of $510 ahead so far this month and more importantly I am around $1100 ahead since I started to finalise the system about three weeks ago.
So far this month I have played 5200 hands (it is actually more than that as I played for 90 minutes today). So everything is going well……well not quite. I seem to be not doing too well in the NL20 games. I know we are only dealing with a small sample size but this tends to be a repeating pattern. I am winning all of my money at NL50 and treading water at NL20. I dont have an accurate read of my results at each level or how many hands I have played at each but I know that I am not too far ahead at NL20.
Maybe its a different dynamic and because I am playing so many tables, I cannot feel what is happening. Although it would be strange for this to work better at NL50 than NL20….there doesnt seem to be any logical reason for that.
Also if I am going to do this properly and basically start with $250 and then take advantge of the 100% Cake sign up bonus to make a $500 starting bankroll then I am going to have to implement some sort of stop loss safety feature. I have decided to implement a $100 maximum daily loss figure. No one plays well when they are losing and I would imagine that $100 to the people who may be looking to do this may be a considerable chunk of money with the greatest respect.
I dont want players to tilt or to play on if something is clearly wrong and $100 daily stop loss seems OK to me…..although it doesnt affect me…..I will play as if it does. Actually some players play equally well whilst losing but they are well in the minority. If I was taking these people on as my players then I would incur a stop loss figure anyway and 20% of your total bankroll seems a good place to stop.
But you may decide to double your bankroll, Cake Poker’s sign up bonus is 100% upto $500 so you may decide that $1000 makes a far better bankroll at NL50 and I would have to agree with you. I played 8 tables today…. 4@ NL50 and 4@ NL20. I may have to play later on in the day though to get 8 @ NL50 but I dont always feel like playing late on but if I am going to maximise my monthly profit then I am going to have to look at this…….wish me luck.
