Multi-Tabling

Just been having a lively discussion on one of the poker forums that I have just started frequenting…Part Time Poker about multi-tabling. I dont know what it is about certain peoples ability to read or decipher information but certain things dont half upset an awful lot of people on forums.

Someone posted an article of mine about the perils of multi-tabling and all hell broke loose. What is the bloody problem? All I was saying was how if a player was -EV playing a single table then how could they possibly be expected to beat more than one table? Jesus Christ….on a scale of 1 to 10 then how obvious is that?

But too many peole blindly follow what other people are doing which of course is a bloody good job for me that they do otherwise I wouldn’t have earned what I have while playing poker. The fact is that you need to make sure that you can beat one table before you undertake to play more than one. If your earn rate is -$5 per hour playing one table then how are you going to inprove that playing four tables? You could in theory make that up with rakeback and other stuff so even -EV players can claw some of that back provided that they dont stray too far into -EV territory.

Its simple common sense when you think about…thats if you bother thinking at all…..it appears that some dont.
