Live games do feel so good

Played in my first live cash game in absolutely ages the other night. You simply cannot beat the buzz of live poker. It felt strange to be playing such games as Irish and 6 card PLO again, hell we even played Pineapple which is basically texas hold’em but with an extra card.

I would like to say that I did well but unfortunately I left minus a G-note but it was still an enjoyable evening. The 100K challenge got back on the rails after a rocky spell with me winning a nice big fat $2587 since my last report. The bankroll now stands at $8809!!

I won a nice award the other day on my favourite poker forum, The Hendon Mob. I won the 2007 award for Lifetime achievement although I never think that gambling should be rewarded but still, I won it anyway. It is always nice when ones efforts go recognised by others.

Had a decent session of 5-10 PLO at last and won around $900 but the session was highly marginal as many PLO sessions are and it could so easily have blown up in my face again. For all the people who are following my 100k challenge then I ought to tell you just what I have planned.

I have been concentrating an awful lot on this of late and putting a fair few hours in. So many that I have been neglecting my other games. In short it has cost me a fair bit of money so I am seriously thinking of having a break from it at the end of this month and temporarily suspending it for a couple of months or so just to concentrate on bigger games.

Into my fourth month in and I am losing my appetite for it so I may suspend it for a while and then try to come back fresh and buzzing maybe in the summer. I will have still played poker with a $1000 bankroll over twelve months, it will just be that those 12 months will be spread out over more than 12 months if you get my drift…..dont know yet but am leaving my options open.

see ya soon
