Keeping my big mouth shut
Yeah….you know what I am going to say dont you. I was crowing the other day about starting to finally make some progress in the 100K Challenge and I have dipped money again. I have even waited an extra day in between blogs trying to get some better news to put up but a $284 loss has put me back behind again with a bankroll of $990!
If it wasn’t for the fact that I stand to lose £3500 in bets to various people then the entire thing would be funny. The amount of bad luck I am having is astounding. Although I have done an absolute ton of money in trying to bluff people and I think that it has finally got through this THICK head of mine that you cannot do it in 0.50-1 or it is a lot tougher.
I must admit that I am struggling now to fend off the negative thoughts and that 100K finish line seems light years away. Here is one of many instances of my bad luck. Last night I have A-J in the cut-off, folded to me so I raise to $3. All fold except BB who calls.
Flop comes, A-J-6, they check and I bet $4. The BB calls me(he has been very aggressive so far). Turn card is an 8. He checks again and I bet $9 on the turn and he calls again. River card is a 7 and he check calls again. Do you know what he had?….7-7. How the hell can he stay in (I had barely played a hand) with that and then NOT either bet the river or raise it when he hits his hand.
Oh my god….what have I just done….what is happening to me……I have just told a bad beat story…..I am infected with bad beat syndrome. This low stakes poker is doing my box in I can tell you. In fact if it wasn’t for the rakeback then I would be looking a bit sick (soon due by the way) and that rakeback will look as welcoming as a column of cavalry to a wagon train surrounded by marauding indians.
See ya soon and have a nice weekend
