Keep it simple

Won a very good $1098 over this weekend in the 100K Challenge. Bankroll now stands at $6119! Started playing $2-$4 three tables although had to play a 1-2 when my game broke up. I feel that I am starting to gain some momentum now with this thing.

Anyone who knows me also knows that I am a serious sports bettor as well although like most pro’s, I restrict my action to about 20 bets a year. I had to LAY Ricky Hatton on the exchanges yesterday as his price to beat Floyd Mayweather had become stupidly low. Wanted Hatton to do it but you cannot let your heart rule your head when it comes to money……do that and you aint going to make betting pay.

By the way, just like to point you in the direction of one of the best betting exchange websites out there in www.laytheodds.com and is well worth a look.

I was watching one of my students yesterady on a 5-10 game of no limit, talk about frustrating…..he was trying every fancy trick in the book. I almost typed something into the chat box but that probably would have been a bad idea. The times that I have told him to keep it simple and that playing solidly will get the money….sometimes you can talk until you are blue in the face.

Thats the problem with trying to impart knowledge, you can read and be coached until the cows come home but if you fail to practice what you have learned then you may have well not have even bothered. I have spoken to a few players who became good players and then experienced this feeling of going backwards.

Simplicity is the true genius.

enjoy the rest of your weekend……..The Dean
