Its not just poker
Well I have been watching the Champions League quarter final between Liverpool and Arsenal and I have only three words to say….WOW…..WOW….WOW!!!
How often do you see a game like that? Oh sorry, this is supposed to be a poker blog but being as football is as big a passion in my life as poker then it had to sneek in somewhere at some stage.
The last few days have seen me sorting through quite a few applications for PROJECT POKERQUEST and there has been quite a bit of interest which has been nice. So far there are three people definitely on the team and I will be looking to take on seven more but the only way I can do this is by getting my book finished. I have been putting the typing hours in lately and the book is at the 49,000 word mark and the book will be around 70,000 words in total.
I wanted to write this book to emphasise my own poker ideas and philosophies and I think that I have managed to achieve that based around a series of hand examples in limit hold’em 6 max, heads up limit hold’em, NLHE, PLO,O/8 and 7 Stud.
But I have been so pleased with how 2008 has gone so far with the book about to happen, getting sponsored by Pokerheaven and now PROJECT POKERQUEST and I am so excited by it all. I need to do a fair bit of preparation work to get PP off to a flying start but it will not be easy as $200 is a small bankroll and I need to see discipline and committment and if anyone doesnt make the grade then they will get chopped plain and simple and they will miss out on a great opportunity but poker isnt for everyone but if you cannot make it playing with someone elses money, with a proven pro tracking your every move and helping you and analysing your mistakes then when can you make it??
But there is every chance that if I get the time that I could in fact make this an ongoing thing and expand the team but it is too early to say that yet.
