Its good to be free
You know the old line from the classic song by Queen….I WANT TO BREAK FREE!
Well I am glad to be free from the ball and chain that was around my ankles of the 100K challenge. I played a great session of PLO last night and that was my first poker for a couple of days and I actually felt fresh for the first time in ages.
It had never really occurred to me just how much effort and energy the 100K was taking out of me. My partner Angela informs me that I am such a better person to be around these days and I have not been like that since late September.
I enjoyed a nice pickup in the PLO of around $1700 or so which was nice but my last session in the 25-50 game was hardly played at peak performance level which considering the amount of money on the table is criminal really. Starting with this blog I will be introducing my TIPS OF THE DAY which I hope will be far more interesting than me waffling on about poker results….so here we go.
THE DEANS SPECIAL TIP OF THE DAY!!
Pot Limit Omaha is a very difficult and complex form of the game but six handed games are a totally different animal to full ring games. You simply cannot transfer full ring game tactics into short handed games and expect to be successful….learn from my mistakes.
Do not expect the books to get the job done either as they tend to concentrate on full ring games….anyone who is interested in being coached at six handed PLO is welcome to contact me……so be warned about the six max games!!
see ya soon
