Its Good to be Back!

Anybody that saw my earlier blog that described my $15K dip at HU NL that prompted me to take a time out for a while will be glad to know that I got that back with interest at the NL tables although not at heads up play.

I was playing $10-$20 six handed NL and had four consecutive winning days of $2750, $3490, $5200 and $880. Couple this with an amazing run at $10-$20 HU Limit hold’em and yours truly is back on the warpath once again.

I open raised with 8-5 in position against a very aggressive big blind and someone who was non too happy about me steal raising either. Flop came A-Q-5 and they check and I fire $90 into the $130 pot and they call. Turn card pairs my 8 to make A-Q-5-8 and they check again and I bet $160 and they call again. River card is another 8 and they check again, the pot stands at $630.

I bet $300 and they re-raise to $1000 straight, I have about a $100 more than that so I go all in and they call….I win the pot. What followed was the worse ever series of abusive chat box messages that I have ever encountered. The guy called me all names under the sun and wanted my blood including offering to play me heads up. I did not take him up on his offer mainly because of what had happened when I had just played heads up online at no limit for basically the first time and did fifteen grand in although he was tilting so badly that I really should have done…..be a different story next time though.
