It will be good viewing

My partner Gavin came up with a good idea the other day to really boost the hitting power of Pokersharkpool. He suggested that we display a range of poker videos on our video section. This made great sense for numerous reasons. Firstly I think that mine are crap……yes I do actually.

I am not a great speaker and drone on too much and a northern accent doesnt sound good at the best of times. Plus, I dont find it natural to speak into a camera so I decided not to do any more.

It will be far more interesting to visitors of Pokesharkpool to be able to sit and watch our soon to be big library of poker videos. I am actually very proud of this site in the way that it looks and it has received much praise from many people. I would actually put alot more time into it but both myself and Gavin are also busy doing other things.

Gavin is busy with online gaming and me with playing online, writing, coaching and now my new Project Pokerquest which has actually started quite well. I have also had a few ideal candidiates show interest over the past few days and I have a feeling that I may have to start turning people down as my exisiting pupils deserve my very best……just have to wait and see on that one.

Went back into the loop the other day playing $25-$50 and did a chunk in ($8500) which didnt go down too well as I hadnt been playing my regular style of play. I usually sit and watch a game before I sit down in it for at least an hour. This allows me to get a feel for the game and certain moves become apparent this way before I even sit down to play…….needless to say that I didnt do this. I tried my usual stuff at the wrong times against the wrong players without my usual preparation…….idiocy!!!

Once you get beyond certain levels, poker really does take no prisoners. Thing is I am supposed to be teaching people discipline but I do slip every now and again just like any other player. Its a constant battle that I have with myself to keep disciplined. Its one of those critical areas that I constantly talk about that cannot be reached by reading 1000 poker books.

Still……it serves me right for everyone to see what an idiot I sometimes am. I think if the backer who was looking to back me to $500k was to see this then he might stop answering his mobile phone when I call…lol

Sometimes my biggest downfall is my own over confidence but it needs a result like this to drag me back into line. I have a far more flexible situation now with regards my sponsor Pokerheaven than I had before which allows me to play poker elsewhere which is nice. Its also nice to know players who play at the same levels and sites that you do.

Actually, in case you read anything dodgy into that……it isnt! Just like to finish off by saying thanks to the people who have contacted me about Project Pokerquest and I get back to you in time. In a way I will be glad to see the back of Euro 2008 as it will allow me to concentrate on the poker.
