Here Come The Hendon Mob

As a very keen supporter of European poker, Pokersharkpool were more than happy to review one of the most successful bunch of professional poker players in Europe, if not the World…..The Hendon Mob. Consisting of Joe Beevers, Ram Vaswani and the Boatman brothers Ross and Barney, they are now some of the most recognised faces in the poker world today.

Joe Beevers and Barney Boatman have both been very happy to give us interviews which can be seen in “Poker Star Corner”. It all started for these four back in the early nineties when Ross and Barney played in a private poker game in Ross’s flat in North London. They then started to attend another poker game around at Joe Beevers’s place, a game which also featured Ram Vaswani. They became friends and started travelling together to games and tournaments all over the country and people started to call them “The Hendon Mob”.

But their fame started to take off when all four of them featured in Channel 4’s “Late Night Poker” which first brought televised poker to the masses and under the table cameras back in the late nineties. As poker and online poker especially started to grow and grow, so did the reputation of the Hendon Mob.

In 2001, the need for a website became all too apparent and thehendonmob.com was born. The level of interest in the four of them grew to such an extent that it became the biggest poker website in Europe. It boasts the world’s most comprehensive poker database with excellent features that include ranking lists for every major tournament in the world and data on all of the tournament players. There are a whole host of other features on the site as well including Mobster of the Month, The Mob Forum League and loads of articles and blogs.

These days “The Mob” can be found online as well and they frequently play at Full Tilt Poker. But between them they have numerous live poker titles to their name of which the main ones are the following,
