Head above water

Well I have won exactly one hundred dollars in the $100K Challenge so my bankroll now stands at $1030! So getting $30 above where I started is not bad considering that I went down to about $300 or so.

But like I said in an earlier post, I have been changing a few things and I dont know if this is what has caused the upswing or what or if I have just been atoning for my earlier bad luck and variance is busy doing its wonderful thing. I even had quads beating some dudes full house so things must be looking up but all things even out in poker if you play for long enough.

Rightly or wrongly (probably wrongly)…..I had guessed that I would earn around 5BB per hour per table on these $0.50-$1games and that I would be around $1000-$1500 ahead by the end of the first month. Well unless I get onto a real run then that seems unlikely to happen but that may have been an unrealistic target anyway for all I know.

If I can just get to 3-6 and 5-10 then my chances will improve dramatically but at this early stage, getting to $2000 seems to be somewhat of a problem. But I aint the same player now, I have took some advice over the past few days that hopefully will stand me in good stead for the next few weeks.
