Due for a loss
The 100K Challenge has been going well lately….too well. Well I have dipped $439 over the weekend and the bankroll now stands at $2255!! There was nothing major but just a succession of little niggly suckouts that led to the overall result and one situation where I totally mis-read my opponent and bluff raised him all in for over $100.
He took ages to call and almost timed out and eventually called with second pair….credit to him for the call.
Anyway, not all bad news as the 10-20 has been paying me well this week but the PLO has been shelling out but a winning week overall although not a mega one. Looked at my stats today for PLO and although I am winning, my hourly rate is hurting my overall rate as I still clearly have room for improvement in that game.
But I have been getting bored easily lately and I think that this is starting to affect the 100k Challenge. Getting motivated to play 0.50-1 and 1-2 was always going to be a problem and this is proving to be the case.
The main problem for me is that I constantly feel that the time could be put to better use doing something else and find myself trying to force things to happen too much. Recently I have been ghosting the 10-20 while playing three tables at 1-2…..not good.
Well its coming towards the twilight of 2007 and it has been an interesting year all in all and 2008 is shaping up to be even more interesting. There will be a series of e-books on the way to rival my book on SNG’s and the next one will be on tournament poker and my take on that and is called DESTINATION: FINAL TABLE.
watch out for it and see you soon
