Damn Quads
The 100K challenge is proving to be like pulling teeth and just as painful. Well I aint the dentist but the one in the chair having em pulled. Twice in the space of 6 hands, I get the nut full house beaten by quads but not on the same table.
I get JJ on a 9-5-5 flop and hit a Jack on the turn, some geezer has only flopped quad fives. Then I get 7-7 on a 7-6-2 flop and we end up getting it all in on the flop and he has 22 and guess what he hits on the river?
I was trying to see some sort of good side to this and was thankful that it didn’t happen in the 25-50 game because that would have took some stomaching. Even the PLO has deserted me with $1800 down the Swanee playing that.
Still not ALL bad news as I have manged to claw back a whopping $86 in the challenge and my total bankroll now stands at $616….yippeeeee!
I dont normally talk about bad beats at all either in articles, books, forums or whatever as I so hate listening to or reading about other peoples as beats are something that we all have to go through. Its a bit like someone phoning you in the middle of something important to complain about how they got caught out in the rain and were drenched or how someone cut them up on the main road.
We just aint interested but I kind of figured that some of you probably are and as I have a responsibility in this blog to cater to all tastes then here we are. I intend to do this challenge again but I am changing the rules next time but I havent figured out what they are going to be yet
see ya soon
